Welcome to my classroom! - March 26, 2008

I am very happy to join the Lindsay staff this year as a second grade teacher.

I have been teaching in Bay City for almost seven years. Fours of those years were spent working as a substitute teacher. I got to visit lots of of different classrooms and buildings. I have been teaching second grade for 3 years and love it! I am really enjoying my time at Linsday. The building is full of wonderful staff and students energized to learn.

Currently, in second grade we are getting ready for the challenges that lie ahead in third grade. The students are busy reading, writing and practicing their math skills. Recently, we started learning about multiplication and how to write in cursive. In Social Studies, we are reading about landforms and bodies of water, as well as studying our Core Democratic Values. Soon, we will begin our research projects on animals. We are also getting reading to begin our science unit on sound.

It is a busy time!
